Dr. Walter Gregg

Dr. Gregg grew up in Charleston and received his undergraduate degree from Clemson. He then received his DVM from the University of Georgia in 1979.  In 1985, he became a diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners, and is currently one of three ABVP canine and feline diplomates in the state of South Carolina. Diplomate status requires recertification every 10 years and he has since recertified in 1995 and 2005. He opened Gregg Animal Hospital in 1987. Dr. Gregg's areas of special interest include cardiology, dermatology, soft tissue surgery, and minimally invasive surgery.
He has been married to Paula Hall of Mt. Pleasant since 1977, and together they have three sons and two grandchildren.  Their two oldest sons, Boyd and Will are both graduates of Spring Valley High School and Clemson University and are practicing engineers.  Their youngest son, Stephen, is a graduate of Blythewood High School and is a recent graduate of Clemson University with a degree in chemical engineering.  Dr. Gregg enjoys many outdoor activities, most notably, salt water fishing, upland bird hunting, and farming.

Sarah Graham Marra is from Birmingham, Alabama.  She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Animal Sciences from Auburn University in 2009 and graduated from Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012.  Following graduation, she lived in Washington, Georgia, where she worked at a mixed animal practice and enjoyed caring for dogs, cats, cattle, horses, and goats.  Dr. Marra and her husband, Chris, were married in 2014, and she moved to Chapin at that time.   

Dr. Marra’s veterinary interests include internal medicine, preventive care, wound healing, and soft tissue surgery.  She loves meeting new people and getting to know clients and their families.  Dr. Marra enjoys reading, baking, traveling with her husband, and spending time outdoors.  She is a dedicated Auburn fan and loves watching SEC football!  She and her husband have two dogs: Jubilee, an energetic border collie mix, and Jill, a loving pit bull mix.



Dr. Harari

Dr. Carolyn Harari is a native of Columbia, SC. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics at Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts in 1998 and a master’s degree in Mathematics at the University of South Carolina in 2000. She then taught high school and middle school math for 3 years before deciding to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. Dr. Harari worked as a veterinary assistant for 3 years while she went back to school full time at the University of South Carolina to get the prerequisites for veterinary school. She graduated from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. Following graduation, she has worked in small animal exclusive veterinary clinics here in the Columbia area.

Dr. Harari’s veterinary interests are in feline medicine, internal medicine, soft tissue surgery and dentistry. She loves treating her clients and their pets like family and believes in building strong relationships with her patients and their families. Dr. Harari enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, reading, cooking and upcycling old furniture. Dr. Harari and her husband, Marc, have 2 children (Joye and Joel), 4 cats (Kitty, Ruthie, Saul and Morty) and 2 dogs (Ellie- a Dalmatian and Stella- a Lab/Hound mix).
